Our Strip & Wax Process For VTC
1. Preparation: First we carefully remove all furniture, rugs, and obstacles from the area to ensure a clear workspace.
2. Initial Cleaning: We begin by dust-moping the floor to eliminate any loose dirt, dust, debris, and anything stuck on the surface like gum or tape so it doesn't get worked into your floor.
3. Stripping Old Wax: Using a professional floor stripper we'll typically let it sit for 5-10 minutes depending on the buildup before we use our modern floor machine to agitate and loosen the wax and dirt.
4. Rinsing & Cleaning: Next, we'll rinse the floor thoroughly with a neutral cleaner and water to remove any stripper residue. Rise and repeat until the old wax is completely gone.
5. New Wax Application: After the floor is dry, we'll use a clean finish mop to apply a thin, even coat of high-quality floor wax to the VTC. We'll repeat this 3-5 times, allowing the floor to dry completely between coats for optimal protection. We'll inspect the floor for uniformity and compensate with extra wax as we go.
